You have a stunning collection, and so far this is my favorite. That cursive Chopard script is delicious. I wish it didn't say automatic and was date-less, but those are small point. Please keep posting.

Perhaps Chopard aimed for a complication movement with 1.96 as the base movement, like JL920 and AP2120.

Around 1996, when the 1860 was born, the finishing of Cal. 215 of Calatrava 3796 produced was very unfriendly. Patek is not always a great watch.

It is the highest movement for a watch equipped with micro rotor. Luxury design, polite finish, classic speed control mechanism, and packaging.
Daily use
Chopard aimed at a luxurious dress watch that can be used everyday. So equipped with a date. You can also interpret their intentions that way.
i love this Luc...on the dial side - pretty close to the Simplicity or a traditional PP in my eyes
the only trouble i've is the 'date' window - i just feel it breaks the symmetry. it is classy watch ! Best, mahesh.,
I don't like dress watches with date.
However, when the date runs out of this watch, it will probably look like an extended dial.
