OscarLewis,
We don't discuss street prices on PuristSPro as we all come from diferent countries with regional variations in taxes, market conditions and foreign exchange rates.
However, we can list manufacturer's recommended selling price in their home country or USD but that does not really help here.
The true value of a good deal is $1 less than you are willing to pay and $1 more than the seller expected.
You have identified the reality of supply vs demand that puts a "value" on an object.
For the Chopard Mille Miglia Jacky Ickx Chronograph series, it really depends on your criterion to select one. Is it because you like the look, the mechanical functions (flyback vs non flyback) or the availability in the market.
As Jacky Ickx is called "Mr Le Mans", people prefer a 24-H chronograph range; Mk III was the first to offer this function and has the two chequered flags on the dial with big date display.
Some prefer the Mk V for its dark dial and red chronograph hands and the white sub-dials for chronograph counters.
Others prefer the silver-white dial and black subdials for chronograph counters...not to mention rose gold case of the luxury version Mk V.
In the final analysis, in the used watch market, you accept what you can find....
Regards,
MTF
