If it makes you feel better, I think the previous 8HF Chronometers versions are far more appealing than the AE model in any color dial.

Go for one of those preowned, they are well below MSRP and a tremendous value.

Would love to hear fellow purists opinions..

This has really grown on me..We all know that the movement could have been finished much better however there are quite a few pluses too: 1- Grade 5 titanium which makes the watch lighter 2- The fact that it doesn't need servicing any quicker than usual m...

Without that Date i'd seriously consider buying one, even though i've got two RO

Grade 5 titanium is remarkable.

 By: roundel : November 4th, 2021-14:32
Not only is it light, but very resistant to scratches in my experience. Not ceramic hard, but much harder that normal titanium or normal stainless steel. The design harkens back to other Chopard models and is a nice off the beaten path integrated bracelet...

Lots of positives ā€¦

 By: Cpt Scarlet : November 4th, 2021-14:36
I really like a titanium watch, so thatā€™s a tick. The case reminds me of a Hublot and thatā€™s not a negative as itā€™s a well judged design and looks good on the wrist. If you like it go for it and enjoy !

I think it would work well.

 By: Cpt Scarlet : November 4th, 2021-15:07

I was so close to getting it but the date window and the fact they made a special edition of 8 or 12 pieces ā€¦

 By: Clueless_Collector : November 4th, 2021-14:37
For some club, with orange seconds hands, just makes me feel not very happy. I feel Chopard should not be doing such special touches on regular pieces in the catalog.

Just saw the picture of the orange seconds version šŸ˜·

I think that was an error of judgement on their behalf

Art in Time Edition

No clubā€¦ Why it is a problem?? 8 pieces with green dial and orange hand: ...

Club or no club but it makes the regular 250 owners ā€¦ a step lower.

 By: Clueless_Collector : November 4th, 2021-20:14
I would love to have this 1 of 8 rather than 1 of 250, if paying same price.

Say that to AP, Patek, VC, Omega, etc...who also make unique pieces or small LE for boutiques, sport's teams, etc...Raymond. same thing šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤”

 By: holdemchamp1225 : November 4th, 2021-20:17
As for the pricez no idea what the regular LE of 250 costs. I do know how much this edition of 8 costs šŸ˜‰

The regular 250 version is $19k USD

Iā€™m not sureā€¦the brands that you mentioned makes boutique or AD editionsā€¦but maybe the timing is a factor that triggers me. Itā€™s alright, Iā€™ve moved on.

I paid more but maybe that is due to EU VAT. As for boutique editions, just look at the history of AP for the past 3 decades šŸ˜–

 By: holdemchamp1225 : November 4th, 2021-20:27
And for Patek, same thing with "certain Asian boutiques" This is not about moving on bro. You are poo pooing on Chopard for releasing the AE 8F in an UBER LE for a certain boutique and calling them out. The sad reality is that thus happens with other manu...

I guessed youā€™re rightā€¦

 By: Clueless_Collector : November 4th, 2021-20:43
But it doesnā€™t mean Iā€™m moving on from the brand, just this model or family. If I know Chopard have been doing so for a long time I would be okā€¦I thought they are different. Sad reality for some brands where only basketball players or celebrities get the ...

To understand why there were ONLY 8 Alpine Eagle 8F made for Art in Time in Monte Carlo you would have to understand the history of the boutique and who it belongs to. KF Scheufele owns the boutique Art in Time in MC and my buddy is the director. The bout...

How will the 250 owners who thought they are getting a limited edition feelā€¦

Paying the same money, initially feeling special but now there is an even better edition? I can understand how the relationship and market works but I will not be part of it. I donā€™t blame them but I will just move on. Congratulations on a special piece J...

Thanks for the explanation Justinā€¦

Itā€™s all good, maybe I should be Yohannā€™s customer, lolā€¦ If you cannot beat them, join them, haha

Thank you Michael for the response...I think I over-reacted a bit, am ok now.

I know this model you posted, very interesting model design. Glad you enjoy yours.

Your sentiments are certainly understandable.

Aside from the 250 piece black version I owned (and I did sell it a few years back when I purchased my Freak to help raise some funds), the initial launch was a 100 piece titanium version that had a silver dial and a black subdial. It was the most concept...

A very pretty watch. If you like it get it. Has its ohne character: not too masculin but very elegant.

By: COUNT DE MONET : November 4th, 2021-14:44
A very good alternative to the usual suspects.

Thanks Dear Count..

 By: Centurionone : November 4th, 2021-14:51
I don't need to prove any masculinity with a bad ass dial.. I quite like the elegance of it actually, plus it is good to stay in touch with feminine side or so they say ;-)

Tell me about it ... a sexy, unisex Patek šŸ˜

Congratulations!

I am seriously getting this 8F version.

We are in total agreement there .

I like the fact that they are a privately owned company as well.

My thoughts exactly

If it wasn't for that additional dial marking at 6PM...

 By: patrick_y : November 5th, 2021-05:39
This is a great watch. The standard blue version is a very cool watch. I've told multiple Chopard executives what to do if they want to see one on my wrist...

Hope they will listen ;-)
