Yeah, more than a few people will be turned off by the date, but it could have been done SO much worse. At least there's no date on the Cochleanthes.
I really appreciate that Chopard compressed the VI numeral, rather than cutting in to it. The LE 1963 Chronometer was pretty nifty, in a similar aesthetic, and without a date, but also very large and pretty much unobtainable now. ;-(

So many things to enjoy about the watch!
I especially like the sculptured hands. The tonneau has always been a favorite shape of mine. The date at 6 is less intrusive than at 3 imo. I'm ok with it. Beautiful piece!
