Hi Melvyn, SJX,

Cartier is my first love in watches and I must confess that while they are obviously known for their mainstream products, it's always a pleasure to show another WIS how Cartier can be on the top choice of watch brands and to what extent Cartier has had a central role in the history of wristwatch development.

If you add the supreme refinement of the Collection Privee Cartier Paris.....

Melvyn, did you know by the way that François-Paul Journe is at the origin of the Cartier Tortue Chronographe Monopoussoir movement!

My Tank Basculante is one of my favorites.

The Tank a Guichet is among the few watches I have to get someday. Let me hope because one of the very few others in my short list is on his way for my home right now and I really thought for a long time that I would never get one.

I can't wait to see the new models from Cartier at SIHH.

PS: that's also an easy brand to visit in Paris Rue de la Paix because my wife is always OK to go there, don't ask why!!

but NOBODY must remember where they heard it But first, I must confess that I did not know about any alleged link between FPJ and Cartier for the Cartier Tortue Chrono Monopoussoir.......but that may be why Mrs MTF will wear the FPJ chronographe too. Back...

I agree the watches look stunning. I really can't understand why GP doesn't keep the movements to themselves to make them more exclusive especially something like the 3-gold bridges which is so special and such a signature to GP.

GP has supplied the Three Gold Bridges to other companies

Including Panerai (gasp!). That being said GP has selected its partners very carefully, and the use of the Three Gold Bridges in other watches have had no impact on the iconic status or desirability of the GP. I personally think the decision to supply is ...

G'day, current Cartier tourbillons are not supplied by GP; if recalling correctly, the "Pasha" tourbillon was the last to be a GP movement. Cheers, Peter
