Is my Cartier Tank Special?

Jan 11, 2019,14:26 PM

Hello! I bought my Cartier Tank new in the year 2000 from Harvey Nichols in London.

I can't find anything on the web which has the same face and markings and I have been lead to believe it was a limited edition piece only available to Amex customers (ahhh those were the days).

There are no minute tracks on the face and the back has markings that I can't see on any other tank I've seen and it seems thinner (3.5 - 4mm)

Can anyone help me please is identifying if it's rare one. If it is, it'll be the only good choice I've ever made in my life :0)

Thanks

Caroline.

This watch is from the eigthies last century. Vermeil means, that the case is solid silver, covered with 20 microns gold. There are a lot of different dials and this watch was a bestseller, because it was not too expensive like the gold Tank, but looks li...

Hi Caroline, The Cartier Tank was the 'chic' watch to wear at one time; always will be classic and iconic. Although the case and probably the clasp are not .750/18k, the case looks the same as the gold model noting pins/hinges on the side. Wear it and enj...

I hope you wear it often. BTW, I spent a lifetime making bad decisions but the universe found a way to compensate.
