I can only speak well of the Tank line my friend, my first foray into Cartier as well! I've been wearing their new Must black much of the time since Christmas (it was my gf's gift this year) and I just love it!
Horology aside, in the end --- in terms of sheer class and elegance --- it's impossible to go wrong with virtually any Cartier! ;-)

A Cartier tank will be my first Cartier also. I just don't quite have the funds to get it yet, hopefully it won't be long. Every time I get close something pops causing me to dig into the Cartier fund stash. Not sure what it is but something just draws me...

Large..
Obviously large is not very large at all but rather small. For this type of watch it’s a great size
today my 4y old son
without me asking him, stated that when he gets big he will buy a square gold watch. My wife found it so hilarious. And I couldn't help but think of the Tank Louis.

Great tank, although I find the watch is too big for your wrist. Tank was meant to be worn on the smaller side, I would go with large (25x33mm) or even small (23x30mm) that is true to vintage proportion. It just feels classier in smaller size. And because...

The new 'Must de Cartier Tanks' are indeed great looking. Just be careful with the sizes you prefer. If you look at a 'one model' smaller, the watch face will have no AUTOMATIC anymore and no date window on the dial. If this was the reason to choose, the ...
I would definitely consider the "large" model...
Simply because it has no date and the void between the date and "V" on the extra large can be bothersome (at least to me it is).
I also suggest a version with no date…
The great thing is that you can go crazy on the straps too. I just bought a solar beat (Christmas) for my wife since quartz makes it easier for her and then solar makes it nice to not have to change battery (for a long time)
