Fake

I think your watch is a fake.  The case should be Vermeil being .925 silver and 20 micron gold plated and hallmarked accordingly.  Also the back should be hallmarked with some other various Cartier stamps.  I also believe the case back and possible the sides should show 4 (or in total 8) screws.  The crown looks wrong and I am not sure about the hands.

I own the 1980's Must de Cartier tank man's watch shown here (the only picture I have to share at the moment, courtesy of the auction house), which is perhaps at 23mm x 30mm rather small for today's wearing.  The case back has a number of authentic Cartier marks, the calibre and serial numbers.  The movement is a calibre 81 quartz, which I understand was supplied to Cartier by Ebel.  The "secret" signed dial is decorated with yellow, rose and white guilt strips in the centre and surrounding the conventional chapter ring.

Best

22wt, Cartier is a brand that suffers from much faking. I cannot comment on the authenticity of your watch but must mention that usually fakers make reproductions of higher value objects than a Must de Cartier. Please read a previous article HERE There ar...

That was me but no I didn’t get it from there, it’s not my style so I decided to sell it anyways hahaha (I am not a very patient person haha). After some of the responses here I decided to be inclined that it wasn’t a fake, but like I said it’s not really...

I have never seen this watch

This type of hands are usually not used by Cartier, but I may be wrong. GEO

Hmm ...

So it may be a fake ? I think it’s only worth a couple of hundred dollars so I would be inclined to think it wouldn’t be worth faking, unless it was faked back in the 70’s or 80’s ...

this type of hands is usually used by cartier in faces without numbers using only colors or materials like mother pearl, can be original, a lot of vintage cartier watch have that engrieve in the back,

The Cartier engraving on the back side looks very crude to me. And interesting is electroplated .

Sorry but this watch is fake. It’s an electroplated Cartier Ceinture that never existed.
