but not the easiest to wind! Part of the pleasure for me of watch collecting is winding my watches daily and a smooth crown adds to the ownership pleasure.

I am not fond of jewels in watches, but this discrete detail is very much my taste. ...

Excellent design detail

Only a few years apart in production but a whopping 79 years between them in terms of design, the Pasha might have the claim as Cartier's most distinctive crown design. The sapphire on my model is much darker compared to the Tonneau and it is quite rare t...  

why i do not like it. Some Breguet models have such a crown. Its a mystery. But there are some who do not like union crowns. I adore union crowns.

For me the appreciation of these gem-set crowns is further something that has developed over time.

the taste is hard for me. There are watches which does not tick all the boxes for me. For many the sub dials which cover a numeral is a problem. Or many do not like an escape valve.

Always loved Cartier's octagonal crowns as well! The red cabochons are rare. Would that happen to belong to the Tank a Guichet?
