Well

If you ask which one is the more quintessential, then I would say neither, as I would expect a white or cream enamel or guilloche dial. Between the two I would probably go for blue based on personal preference and overall versatility. Must be seen in person though, as I had the same dilemma with the blue vs burgundy reverso and preferred the latter.

Please Help Me...

I'm torn between these two masterpieces, red and blue. Please help me decide, which one is a quintessential Cartier and will remain desirable in long run. I like both of them but will have to choose one.. (I mages from internet) ...

Blue....

 By: InHavenPro : January 22nd, 2022-03:25
is more versatile. Depends on your intended use and the type of clothing you tend to wear.... Cheers, Filip

I thought gray dial with darker gold colour may restrict the choice.

 By: Pun : January 22nd, 2022-03:38
I'd prefer whichever represent Cartier style and beauty in long run. Just confused, really. Thanks for your opinion. Regards

Anytime,

I also happen to prefer rose gold over yellow gold anyday, which I also find considerably more low-key and versatile....

I recently added a rose gold..

...

That one....

 By: InHavenPro : January 22nd, 2022-05:29
would be the one I'd wear most of the time . Cheers, Filip

Get them both!

Hehehe!

My AD had the Red and I passed because it looks a little pinkish, better on my boss…

I would go for Blue if they have one.

Okay. They are available on order right now.

 By: Pun : January 22nd, 2022-03:42
Don't you think Cartier, per se, is more towards unisex looks? Blue might look darker with gray and dark rose gold metal... Regards

It's fashion based.

 By: enjoythemusic : January 22nd, 2022-05:10

I think blue is ahead..

 By: Pun : January 22nd, 2022-03:46
Thanks for your choice. Regards

Noted, sir. Regards

Not sure which one will be more desirable (by you!) in the long run, but the blue would obviously be a spotless choice...However, at least from the pictures, the contrast between red dial and blue cabochon is much more attractive and unpredictable...

Hence, if I had to pick one right now between two clear winners, that'd be the red/blue combo on the right! ;-) Hope you'll enjoy the selection and acquisition process!

Your reply is very deplomatic indeed. Both are splendid watches. I like the both. As earlier said, both are worth buying.

 By: Pun : January 22nd, 2022-03:54
Life is nothing but choices as you can't have both! I feel I should go for the colour that represents Cartier spirit more beautifully and will stand test of time. These may be a keeper in my collection. BTW I just completed 60 last month, in case it helps...

LOL

indubitable taste

;-)

Blue...

 By: mdg : January 22nd, 2022-04:35
...because red is not appropriate for a formal occasion.

Yes that's very interesting and valid point.

Thanks for a new perspective. Regards

Well

Blue is ahead. I don't know if that will be easy to read time..

I wonder if someone with first hand experience share his impression here.

Maybe Burgundy for me but

 By: marcobermann : January 22nd, 2022-08:03
Hi Pun, If I was looking for a classic Cartier as others have said I would of been looking for a classic white or cream dial but out of the Blue which is very fashionable just now but maybe not so much in the future I would still go for the Burgundy. Exce...

Blue would be my choice tbh

Love that dark grey dial a bit more

Red!

 By: amanico : January 22nd, 2022-08:15

❤️

Red is the quintessential but

 By: Gelato Monster : January 22nd, 2022-10:29
between the two prefer the deep blue

Red all the way

 By: blau : January 22nd, 2022-13:30
On quintessentiality: 1. Think of the iconic red Cartier box! Red is way more Cartier than blue is. 2. Yellow gold is far more quintessentially Cartier than rose gold is. On actual looks: 1. The red one looks way cooler.

🥰

 By: Pun : January 22nd, 2022-15:01

burgundy red is more cartier but more feminine so if I had to choose one I would go with the blue

 By: christianch : January 22nd, 2022-17:47
unless you have a lot of blue watches already. In terms of representing Cartier in the long run both Louis Cartier Tank models will fit your need and are 100% cartier no matter what. Blue is more unusual for cartier and rose gold is very special so Blue.

Yes you've settled the quintessential Cartier issue very subtly.

 By: Pun : January 23rd, 2022-02:41
Thanks for a splendid insight. Regards

I think at the end your personal feeling has to make the decision.

 By: MTR : January 22nd, 2022-21:33
I personally would not buy a watch if I am not 100% sure. And the fact that you're asking us proves that you are not 100% sure. So I would not buy any of them until I see and feel clearly. Please forgive me my personal opinion which I express without offe...

Yours is a very honest reply, there is nothing to feel bad about, sir.

 By: Pun : January 23rd, 2022-02:45
I'm thinking of buying one of these just become I like the unusualness of these models and the way prices are moving up across the brands, I feel it'd be difficult to buy these brands by many of us. Thanks for responding. Regards

Saw these last year

 By: Ping.Timeout : February 17th, 2022-08:48
Saw the prototypes of both when first announced and got the opportunity to try both on the wrist. In my opinion, the blue suits my taste slightly better. It’s more contemporary. Size is rather small though.

No worries

They are great timepieces

🥰

 By: Pun : February 18th, 2022-03:37

Limited?

 By: Ping.Timeout : February 18th, 2022-04:47
I believe they’re both limited production?

Thanks for the info

 By: Ping.Timeout : February 19th, 2022-01:59

Yes, I agree .

Red in Yellow Gold

 By: Stonec : February 18th, 2022-01:27
I believe I read you already have one in Pink gold so yellow gold would be a perfect addition, plus I prefer the red. I saw the blue at a boutique in Paris and was underwhelmed.

Wonderful

 By: Stonec : February 18th, 2022-04:25
Congratulations in advance

 By: Stonec : February 18th, 2022-16:06
Will be looking forward to it.

Sure. 😊
