This is the Tank Louis Cartier Large model, right? manual winding Piaget caliber. I think the size is spot on.

There is a XL size and its way too big. There is also Tank Solo large model which is also too large. Finally there is a quartz tank solo large model (which i sold few months ago), because it was too small.

The one you bought is perfect IMO. it is my only gold watch, super elegant and timeless.

Always been my dream watch. I wish it’s a little bit smaller though, but I love it as it is too. I bought, sold and give away a few watches this year and by far this is the most special one. ...

Looks great on your wrist!

The piaget movement is in the XL Louis cartier. The large model use JLC calibre 846, a small hand wound.

The watch is great but

The look-at-that-fool-taking-another-wristshot-will-he-miss-a-step look on your dog's face is priceless I love that watch, been seriously considering one!

Hahaha

get one seriously. I love it because of its size, it shows a nice color and quality of a leather straps when you look at it too. Price is not outrageous either. I waited and waited for a used one for a long time, but never saw it so I went to my AD who ga...

Out of curiosity, I noticed on Cartier website that unlike the cheaper Solo this one has mineral crystal, anyone knows the reasoning behind it?

The special feeling with a favorite model is priceless. A Cartier tank is a famous little fella.

A nice classic

Mineral glass on the Tank Louie?

 By: YpJ : November 7th, 2022-17:33
I've been bitten badly by the Cartier Tank bug and after collecting the colorful Must models, I've now got my sights on a Tank Louie. However, I was surprised to see that they use mineral crystal instead of sapphire. Please excuse my ignorance of all thin...

Tank LC is actually better in mineral crystal.

To appreciate mineral glass in Tank LC, you have to really see how their watches are made in the 40's and 50's. The silhouette works with flat gold brancard and super curved mineral glass. It reflect light in a very distinct way, almost candy-like in pers...

Thank you so much for taking the time to show this to me...

So from what you're saying, I guess mineral glass is the material that best serves this particular watch from an aesthetic and practical perspective. Any dial does seem much warmer when mineral glass is involved. I can't wait to get one of these in my col...

Not a problem!

I would suggest for you to try the watch yourself in Cartier AD, and have the sales rep remove the plastic wrap. You’ll see how the mineral glass will play with the lights better.
