Any Cartier Quartz Watch Owners Here?

Oct 05, 2022,20:43 PM

I would really like to have a Cartier, just not sure which one yet.

Do any of you have experience with any of the quartz models?
If so, how do you feel about them.  I have always been an automatic
or manual guy, only had quartz as a kid.  I'm not opposed to a Cartier quartz,
just not sure I want one.  I see both the pros and cons of them.
What are your experiences and do you have any regrets after
getting a quartz model?

All depends on the model. Good luck with your hunt for a Cartier.

This feels forced!

Your post reads like you're trying so hard to buy a Cartier. Don't force it! If it's not you, it's not you! This reads like you're trying to convince yourself of the merits of owning a Cartier - don't shove it down your own throat. Only buy something you ...

Never thought of it that way, but I guess you're right. I do want a Cartier and would take a quartz model,

If I don't like it like I thought I would there's always the Collector's Corner. Eventually I'll make up my mind, I'm in no real hurry. The guy on my right shoulder says I am and the guy on my left tells me to slow down and take my time.

Allow me to repeat the angel on your shoulder!

I will mime whatever the angel on your shoulder says! In this case, take your time! No rush! Only buy it if you can't live without it! And here's the devil in me: "Have you looked at the Bulgari Octo Finissimo?"

Some Doxa dive watches sorry no Cartier.

Late 1970’s early 1980’s It was a bad time for mechanical watches. To compete the developed some quartz options. ...

Why does it need to be a quartz? There are great mechanical models.

Consider the Santos Dumont. Small and large sizes are quartz, while the Xlarge is mechanical (but not really XL on the wrist).

+1

I think Quartz is technically more superior for timekeeping.

Even though I only have 1 quartz watch in my collection (a Tank Francaise), I have to say the whole quartz hate is so unwarranted for. Quartz came in in the 70's and just demolish the entire Swiss watch industry. They are accurate, simple to produce, inse...

This one was touch & go for me.

Apart from a few G-shocks, I have never owned a quartz watch until this came along. Watches have become more of an accessory for me these days and I like variety, so this fits a certain playfulness when the mood strikes. It's versatile, comfortable and re...

I really like this one …

The only advantage I can think of is you’ll never have to wind it.

Assuming you are interested in a model that does not have a visible movement.

My Boss owns a few and love them

I have the Tank Solar-Beat and the Tank Must

 By: Geo : October 6th, 2022-10:52
I find them very good looking and I do not mind that they are solar- and battery-powered. Enough other pieces to worry about the service etc. But I must admit that when I would spend quite a bit of money on a high end watch, I probably prefer a mechanical...

I own both mechanical and quartz Cartier models. While the mechanical models have all required service the quartz has only had battery changes. I enjoy both types of Cartier, so my advice to you is that if you like the Cartier watch, regardless of movemen...

The only Quartz watch I own.
