Not anymore in modern cities like San Francisco! The summer months are now perfect for a nice cold oyster - I like mine with a little vinegar, horseradish, and cocktail sauce!

I think the last time I had oysters they were served with white wine or champagne or Rose. Haven't had it with beer before.
