Spangles, I think I understand you better now !

A little GTG earlier today, the primary purpose of which was (for me) to see this Breguet. Although we did expand it a little and so there were several interesting pieces and lots of variety (the Breguet Tourby to a YG Turtle on a matching bracelet which was fire, Vagabondage, Daytona, Laine, Jaeger & Benzinger and more).

Back to the Breguet; I’d never seen it in person, in fact  I’ve spent very limited time with any Breguet aside from the La Tradition.

While I admired pictures in the past, and knew that the size (36mm) was always going to be something I would like, I have to say I was surprised by my reaction to it after finally seeing it in the metal.

It’s one of the most beautiful (classically so) watches I’ve handled.  Much of this was down to the crisp dial, hand turned I think.  And I’ve been developing a soft spot for YG so those two combined resulted in a clear winner for me.

Look at these pictures and tell me this is not beautiful.

(The owner of the watch will see this post, although he’s not yet active here.  He’s got some great stuff to share once he comes online).

Love it!

As many times I see this watch , the first word that comes to mind is “finesse “.

Very baroque!

Ha ha, yes, I love this watch! Some Breguet watches just capture that Breguet magic so well.

And note the tiny "swiss guilloché main" to the right on the dial. It's indeed engine turned by hand.

Ah, I didn’t even notice that.

I guess I was so distracted by it’s beauty. Were there just the YG and PT or did a RG exist? Do you know?

Yes

Rg exists, I think I've seen them on chrono24.com earlier in the year.

I think there’s also a two tone version

I was told only 8 pieces were cased in PT

Thanks for the kind words Jay!

Glad to hear that you like the watch. This Breguet is one of those watches that you have to hold it in your hands to fully appreciate it. Also a tremendous value today in the midst of the steel sports watch madness. On a separate note, thank you for intro...
