the selection of Your watches made that quite clear,and that's nice.It's the best and most honest thing not to care about resale values and love the pieces one owns.
And besides,I own/owned(cause I gave away two) 6 Pateks and they were all loosers too except one,and even that one will not double in price within the next 7 years I'm afraid...,So,to keep smiling is the best way and let the second hand dealers care about their money.

As far as I managed to see prices at various auctions there are three brands that gain value considrably all others lose it, do not gain or just slightly .... of course these are Patek, Rolex and Panerai
