Marie-Antoinette .....
This morning i had the chance to visit the L.A.Mayer museum for islamic art in Jerusalem.
As some of you might know they have acollection of watches that is unsurpassed.
Entering the vault is pretty cool and the sight is gobsmacking ..... but having the Marie-Antoinette completely for yourself .... The real Marie-Antoinette .... Is a fantastic experience.
I took as many pictures as i could and the result turned out better than i expected as the lighting is pretty awkward.
I will upload more pics in the coming days as my visit here is quite busy and full of amusement ;-)

This watch has a great story to it
Great pictures. Never visited the museum will have a look next time in Israel. The watch has a very interesting story. There is a cool book about the watch and how it was stolen by John Biggs - I really enjoyed it.

I have to say I had no idea that that was the home of the Marie Antoniette
When it was stolen from the museum it sat in a box in a garage for 25 years until the thief died and confessed to his wife. This happened soon after the 4 year build of the recreation by
Breguet - It's truly an amazing story and I hope that one day I will also visit to see it in the flesh.
