Looking back at pictures of a watch I've tried on too many times: The Breguet 5177.

There are a few watches I've tried on many times but never come around to actually buying (yet). Please share some watches you kept coming back to, from any brand, either to eventually buy... or not (yet). Edit: adding images! For the blue enamel, can you...

Third pic with blue enamel is the prototype i guess...

Looks like Breguet is bringing the blue enamel to a number of models, so a 5277 or 5207 or 7147 or 7787, etc., will all have no date window. Really any of those would be sweet.

wow thats a great news ! in deed, I was saddened to discover that Ginza was only 10 pcs making it hard to get one...

the nice think about this model is the case size...others beef up to 40mm !

Well, the 7787 is 38mm (maybe 39, but under 40), and the 5277 is 38ish as well!

You're completely right about the 7147 being 40mm, but it is 7mm thick, so quite thin.

The Ginza is top. [nt]

A fascinating example of a Breguet (which, I have to admit, I first discovered during the past couple of years as I was looking around for Pateks 5177! :-)

In the end, also because of the scarcity of Patek 5177 pictures, I came to like these Breguets -- and their blue enamel dials -- quite a lot! Thanks for sharing.

It’s so difficult to choose. Thank You for this photos, it’s excellent comparisons of variants. I understand You dilemma, when I was looking for Breguet 5140, couldn’t decide between dial variants. Still can’t. Now, with 5177, it’s even harder. From one h...

I know what you mean!

And fine enamel dials go all the way back to A.L.Breguet, who made a number exquisite enamel dialed pocket watches for Turkish clients. It doesn't help the decision making, but still interesting!
