In addition to the Type XX Chronographs there has been an alarm model in the series as well, namely the Ref. 3860 Reveil. I have only seen it offered for sale once in the last two years and then I was way too slow and indecisive - early days I was wonderi...

How did they feel compared to the normal Type XX? I assume they must have been charming enough to tempt you, right? The movement is aparently the same as used in the Classique Ref 3600, if that helps...

Smaller sounds better IMHO Find that the under 40mm diameters suit me wonderfully...

... bought it in the year 2000 at Marcus in London, I remember that day very well ;-) The ref 3860 was sold in Switzerland and in the UK only - no clue why... Same size as the XX series with 39mm, it came on bracelet or leather with folding buckle, the bo... 

Do you still have any pictures of yours? Very grateful for your experiences - helps with the decision, should one become available again and the temptation strong

The logo is truly discrete and not where one would look for it, the dial is supremely legible, the size is right and it has a cool complication (even if not particularly loud). Wonder why they limited it to just 500...
