F Piguet 1150 reliability

Thanks John for your insightful comment on the 1150 movement. I am considering he Breguet Marine II Big Date for my next daily watch. I really like the asthestic side of the watch but I am a little concern about the movement. I have heard of the movement being easily magnetised, hard to service, etc... I would like to know how durable it is. Being a daily watch, what I really want is something that is durable and trouble-free for many years to come. Thanks for opinion.
Another question is that I might consider buying it from an AD next time when I visit Hong Kong since they just about have every single watch on this planet in such a small place. Just in case if I have a problem, do I need to send it to Hong Kong or can I just take it to my friendly local AD/service department for warranty-related repairs. Can they refuse repairing it for free since I didn't purchase the watch from them in the first place??

Audemars Piguet?

Does Audemars Piguet make many of the movements for Breguet? I thought that they made most of their own movements? Am I misinformed?

Your impression of this watch and movement? I understand that it is not a very expensive piece, but for not having any complications, and being in Stainless, it nevertheless is somewhat pricey. I just wanted to get an opinion that the watch and movement i...
I quite like the watch, the movement not so much

Hi Intex, Here's something I wrote about the movement a few years ago: "Piguet movements are very highly regarded by watch collectors but have a reputation among watchmakers for being primadonnas. For many proud Piguet based watch owners (Blancpain, Bregu...

Hi John/All - I just bought a used 3130 circa 1995 and, if by winding a movement, one can sense the quality, then the Piguet 71/Breguet 502 is not nearly as substantial as the Patek or Lange movements in similar complications. It would be interesting to h...
