Breguet Type XX Transatlantique 3820ST

I'm on a pilot's watch kick these days and have really fallen for the Breguet Type XX - in particular, the Transatlantique 3820ST.  I love the Aeronavale as well but felt it wore too small on my wrist.  The 3820 is approx. 2mm larger in diameter and has the matte bezel that I prefer.  Unfortunately the watch has been discontinued for some time and I won't be able to try before I buy (I just missed one that sold at a local dealer a week ago sad )

Can anyone here who owns or has owned a 3820 give me some idea how it might wear on a flat 7" wrist?  For reference, I typically wear somewhat larger watches (44 and 47mm Panerais, other watches in the 42-44mm range) although I do have an IWC Mark XV at 38mm that I absolutely love so I'm not completely averse to smaller pieces.

Hmm...

The Transatlantique seems to be consistently listed online as 39.5 or 40mm and the Aeronavale at 38mm. That led me to believe the Transatlantique was a slightly larger version. Now I'm wondering if perhaps the numbers I've seen for the Transatlantique inc...
