Personally, I do not at all argue with your opinion on the date window. I see why Breguet wanted to do a non-limited Classique with the deep blue Grand Feu enamel dial, and the no date version was already done with the Ginza Anniversary.
Sometimes a „flaw“ makes a watch even more interesting... not sure whether this will be the case for the future owners of ref 5177.

A superb piece with a unnecessary window...what a pity, it spoils the pure dial. I understand about the issue wth the LE Ginza version but on the other hand there is a consensus about the issue...
In the hand, this is a stunning watch. Your pictures are excellent.
Definitely a watch that needs to be seen in the real, though. I like a date function, so I'm planning on this watch someday!
