A bond with one watch is a really nice thing

I'm beginning to think that just living with that one watch like most people on this planet is actually doable. I'm in day 18 now with this lovely Marine and am actually enjoying not having to decide on which watch to wear. To take off this before bed and strap it on first thing in the morning, is a really nice routine. Some pictures to share.

I am even tempted to pick one up before the tax holiday in Malaysia ends but I must resist the temptation. Your lovely photos do not help though!!

Why are you resisting??

I am glad I did resist

because I just came back from watch hunting. Tried on 7 watches and have shortlisted 3 I wish the date window was not there!! Finally, very rare and just located one in KL! A lot of watch for the price from an ok brand ...

That VC is a cool find.

Did you pick it up yet? As for the Breguet, I’m with you on the date. It just looks weird with the “3” still being there, giving a chain of numbers. The L&H is awesome, though I would have preferred if the hands were blued or a darker shade providing some...

The VC is still there waiting for you Richard!! :-)

I actually do like the Friedrich III with gold hands rather than the blue hands that say a Lange 1815 would have. Saying that a white gold 1815 Lange was one of the 7 watches I tried on too

Look at the no date 7147 outstanding my friend.

I did but

unfortunately it is too large for me at 40mm with straight lugs. Breguets tend to wear big due to their straight lugs and a 36mm Breguet would actually fit my best. I do like the dial on 7147.

Let us know how long your 'marathon' lasts!

I’m gunning for at least the 42 days committed to my wife, but will see if this stretches beyond that. Truth be told, I’ve stopped yearning to go to the bank to swap out watches after the 10 day mark, and if that yearning doesn’t come back, this might go ...

Excited to see how long this passion would run!

I dont think i can live with only one watch 😬.

Is there one watch that covers all the bases?

Perhaps. It has me thinking. It might be easier if changing straps were allowed.

Beautiful Breguet

You’re still in the honeymoon phase of the relationship. I’ve said it many times, “This is the only watch I seem to be wearing.” Then, a year later, I’m back into swapping or I’m in the honeymoon phase with another watch. Fortunately watches don’t have fe...
