5207 YG - weight
Dec 22, 2012,11:48 AM
Hello Breguet experts,
I am interested in finding the net weight in grams of the YG 5207, including strap and deployant clasp. I was recently presented with one as a gift and love the piece, but it feels a bit light compared to my other pieces in YG, e.g., Patek, JLC, Rolex, etc. Maybe my paranoia is kicking in, but I would like to ascertain that it is, indeed, a genuine Breguet and not a replica. The piece came with all the requisite paraphernalia, but was acquired overseas and thus, visiting the seller is out of the question. My logic behind this request is that a replica would likely not be made of gold and thus there should arguably be a significant difference in weight.
Any help, aside from the suggestion to visit the seller, would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Ivan

a decent watchmaker would be able to tell the difference once given access to the movement, alsoit should have a ref number you can check with breguet. if both fail. try sending it to breguet for a service and mention your concerns. or call them and ask i...

The guilloche on the rotor through the case back is pretty impossible to fake, as is the complication of power reserve and retrograding seconds. Bill
