In the flesh and on it, 'The Marine' is an outstandingly good watch. It has 'presence' and is jewel-like.

Admiring this in the car

Seemingly the best lighting for any watch is in the car, and this one looks better with the Seiko blue strap I put on it, IMO. Unfortunately, the blue is not clearly seen here. One of my most worn watches over the last 5 years, and the big date is useful ...

Big watch!

What car is it being worn in? Cheers, Mike

A local Malaysian make

Small little city car, a Proton Iriz if it interests you ;-) Great for the city commute and tight parking spaces

Excellent watch! Nice shot ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

If agree

Problem is that the rubber that came with it doesnโ€™t fit quite as well with the deployant so I swap it out sometimes but have put a generic pin buckle on the rubber for when I use it

Big is relative ;-)

I was at the AD today checking out the Classique 5277, and at 38mm, which reads smaller than this Marine, it wears much bigger - for some strange reason, the lugs are more straight and resulted in the straps literally hanging off my wrist. Disappointing, ...

Very nice Breguet and pict !

I find the current Marine family not as cool with the guilloche on the dial and rotor missing

Jewel like. Now, that a nice description

It does have a lot of bling factors going for it, from the coin edged case to the guilloche on the dial.

Now that I look closer youโ€™re right

The details are all evident, down to the fingerprint smudges on the lugs!

Thank you. I also like how versatile it is.

Changing the straps between leather and the rubber straps also gives it a completely different character

Very nice shot!

What a fabulous watch!

absolutely love this piece. So many gorgeous details. Nothing on it seems like an after thought. Not a big fan of the numeral styling on the newer variants though.

Completely agree with you on that

Also wondering why the very nice guilloche on the rotor was done away with on the new variants

This watch is the perfect blend of

Good point on the navy blue strap - Iโ€™m wearing this now on the blue strap that I pulled off my Seiko Presage Blue Enamel.... ;-)

Oh ... smart combo ! :)
