And wow, 50/hr to be a SA? I would do that part time selling watches. But I get you, more than pay, like appreciation, investment into the SA, among other like factors.
Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if you knew more about the technical details about the watch than an average watch boutique employee. Most of them are not technically inclined.
The job really requires the ability to forge connections with other human beings and to engage them in a way to sell products; I don't think a bachelors degree is required. Probably the only technical requirements for a sales employee are the ability to u...
Due to the nature and lack of requirement of certain sophisticated skills, and I would imagine not the best pay. Yes, I am not sure that you can expect much from these SA. But as you stated, there can be a big benefit from being an SA, like the clients yo...
In my unfortunate time in retail strategy we ran a test to see if we could up our associate quality of service and retention by simply paying more. Seems obvious right? We went upwards of $50 / hour to attract what were on paper more highly educated and h...

Totally, super high. We just did it as a test. We used to run a lot of test for brands as part of our innovation and store operations practice. Luxury brands are almost all commission based and the associates hop between them based on which brands have th...
Beautiful movement finishing, especially for a true sports watch! AP's Royal Oak is not a true sports watch as the watch's puny 60m water resistance can't even do snorkeling without some risk.
And you know my collection haha so any suggestions are welcome. The 1921 will come thatβs for sure. I was thinking to bring the OS as well but Iβm afraid my son will then definitely steal it. The big gun the Traditionelle Perp Calendar Chrono is bit too r...
I think you may have misinterpreted my words or I have written them wrongly. Iβm finally flying home to see my wife again after 4,5 months. And we were discussing which watches I should bring with. And I will definitely bring the 1921 with me (after all w...
They never lie They just have their own version of the truth Haha. Yep will definitely let you know after all your the main reason for me to hop to Paris
With the 1921 and OS. Leave everything else in the safe, that way you are covered for the Board room and the Bar. Leave the big gun at home, I personally, would only pull that out for a special occasion. But that is just me.
I need to remember that about ceramic, thankfully, I donβt plan on doing anything hardcore wirh it on. So my main issue would be the accidental drops you speak of.
It does seem like a nice combination, case and dial/bezel. And the lack of a date is a big win in my opinion. Look forward to seeing some wrist shots in the coming weeks and months.
On my photographing, Dear Nico suggests I get a Leica, Iβll have to save a little money first. I really adore the green dial, def better in person, sunburst is awesome.
The old avatar has been collecting dust, so I changed it. Kinda makes sense, cuz it is a parody of the amount of screentime we are stuck with in this era.
Yes!! I think, as is the case, with many understated pieces, you must see them in person to appreciate the small intricate details. In this case, how the black brushed finish interplays with the sunburst green dial. Magnifico. It is truly something specia...
removal of the date on the full size bathyscaphe is truly a game changer. ever since i sold my steel bathy I have been wanting to replace it with the ceramic / blue dial - not having a date is really a tipper for me (I only wear the watch occasionally and...
Yes, I had the blue dial in grey ceramic. I loved loved loved the piece, I felt the grey ceramic showed the finishing very well. I ended up selling it, kept thinking about it though, almost bought it again grey market for a good price. While I paid a real...
