The year started well: my new Bathyscaphe.

Since quite some time I wanted to add a Blancpain diver into my collection.
Unfortunately the 45mm Fifty Fathoms is not a good fit to my wrist : somehow looking too big and feeling top heavy.
The solution: the Bathyscaphe with ceramic case. This one is a much better fit both in size and wearing comfort.
I went for the grey ceramic case version with blue dial. A truly unique offer on the market.
The dial has a very fine sunbrush finish which gives it a silky kind of shimmer.
Most ceramic watches are still black. As I am not a fan of all black watches I was happy to have this grey case option from Blancpain.
The Blancpain dive watches have a strong heritage but the real big differentiator to the rest is the use of a true high horology movement.
The cal. 1315 is impressive both from its technical specifications as from its superior hand finish.
I consider the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms /Bathyscaphe the only real high horology dive watches on the market (the AP ROO diver may be close but cannot really compete on the movement side).
As such certainly one of the very best high horology offers available.
Thanks for looking,
Gerard
