Blancpain

Rattrapante, Minute Repeater, Perpetual Calendar and Tourbillon ( which has the good taste to be on the back side ). THAT is what I call a Grande Complication! 42 mm platinum case, not too big, but really thick ( 18 mm ). Made in 1991, in a limited editio...  

The thickness would stop me but the dial and movement are top notch especially considering what year this was released, and a platinum case to boot. Sometimes the tourbillon on the front is nice and interesting, other times it just ends up looking similar... 

At the time I used to work for a shipping company that dealt with high value things, and I personally delivered one of this monsters to the Blancpain Boutique on Madison Ave. in New York. I saw it in person and I was taken by its complexity. Two things st... 

Blancpain was my first serious watch brand and in the early 90s and my entire collection comprised three less complicated Blancpains so the 1735 was obviously 'the dream'.

It came in slightly different flavours - black dial, silver hands, newer Leman hands... credit ClassicDriver ...  

BP really is a top brand, hopefully more recognition for them to come. If I was to get a qp the bp with underlug corrector would be high on my wish list.

...that was a unique piece a number of years ago. A weird feeling to have that much money on my wrist : )
