Sunday picture: The elusive Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bronze Milspec.

This Bronze Milspec belongs to a good friend of mine.

Beautiful, macho, brutal, bestial, it is one of the most impressive vintage Fifty Fathoms I know. And one of the rarest, too. I am working for many years, now, on a census about the Bronze Milspec I discovered in 2008 only, and I didn't fall on many. I will post something about my researches, later this year.

Best,

Nicolas

Are the hands original? Do the other watches have the same hands? They look a mixture of civilian hands for the minutes and the hours and military for the seconds. Naturally this watch is a killer!!! Have never seen one in the flesh.

So many mysteries... [nt]

That is true - a real killerwatch [nt]

Blancpain bronze is very interesting and mysterious. I also did some research. The numbering starts at 3220. The biggest number I found is 3225 (the watch proposed by Hodinkee) I don't know a number higher than 3230. In a post Nicolas talks about one with...
