Ti Bathyscaphe with new, brushed dial?

I don't remember seeing this dial before. I think this marks a return for the titanium Bathyscaphe too (if this is true). ...

Neither did I.

I hope this might be the first of several new watches

Keeping my fingers crossed. I don't mind the case size but a no-date like the Mokarran and a new style bracelet (I don't like the X70) would be great, imo. I like this dial and it's nice to have other options but Blancpain is about sun-ray dials for me.

No date would be great.

Totally agree

I love a brushed finish dial but this watch is all about the sunburst.

I like the move to titanium, but the vertical-brushed dial and 4:30 date isn’t for me.

It’s a move in the right direction, though. Thanks for sharing

Agree about the dial and date

But it's nice to have options, I guess.

Too similar to the steel version I feel

I may go for the standard FF in that case. It fits a 17cm wrist neatly due to the short lugs.

The other view (I forgot to post)

...

Oooo

I like it! I'm not running out to the AD with cash in hand but it seems like a nice addition.

FWIW, I was chatting with an SA at the boutique yesterday and he said something like 2/3 of their sales are from China and they are killing it there. I wouldn't be surprised if bringing back the ti case and adding a new dial does really well in that marke...

awesome roughness

No date please

Thank God the date is there!

…otherwise I’d have to buy one!👍

Its a fake

Can t benieve it s real. It s a fake, photoshop artist. There is no way blancpain who is outsourcing their dials making would commit to this ugly model. Taste is a rare commodity it seems.

I was wondering...

...when you would comment. Wish you could tell us about other models too!

I wished I could… 😇

Dials are made by a Swatch Group sister company…

 By: shortys home : October 19th, 2021-08:09
… with the exception of the Metiers d‘Art dials which are made 100% in the Le Brassus farmhouse. Cheers Henrik

Thanks! 👍

It is the new Bathyscaphe Titanium ref 5000-1210 and there are three configurations…

 By: shortys home : October 19th, 2021-17:39
… on sailcloth (shown on the Instagram photo), on titanium bracelet (X-71 style) and on Nato: It is a regular collection model and available immediately. Cheers Henrik ...

I thought that X-71 was a typo...

 By: Joe90 : October 19th, 2021-18:10
...and it's supposed to be X-70...but I checked your blog and it IS the X-71?!?! It sounds like you haven't seen it yet? Together with the grade 23 Titanium...that is sounding very interesting! As you say, curious to see how they make an X-71 style (98S) ...

I likey!

I always liked the Bathyscaphe but never the X-70 bracelet. This one looks really nice (and we know that it looks great on the Nato too - which isn't the case for all watches). Also great to hear that it's a non-LE!
