Hail of FF snapshots made by a WIS … 😎

May 29, 2021,21:49 PM

Playing around with my new sweetheart, the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Automatique Red Gold with Blue Ceramic Dial, in different light conditions.

Just with my iPhone. So please forgive me for not being at the level of Nico, Henrik, Jocke and many other watch friends here around.

The strength of the lume is … breathtaking.

Like the whole construction of this marvel. From the movement to the deployant clasp to the dial and case.

And being a WIS is sometimes not healthy for the wallet.

Like so many other things that are not always healthy, but bring joy to life. 😉

Life is good. And short. It is important to live consciously.

Thanks for looking.

Hmmmmmhhhh. I have to admit, I have had the same thoughts. To adjust the length of the strap (to a different hole) and adapt it to the wrist, I will use a small plastic coin. I am concerned about scratching the screw of the deployant clasp with a normal s...

All you need for the strap change are two 0.9 hex screwdrivers…

… actually it’s a hassle free operation. The following picture is borrowed from a German watch forum, credit to a fellow FF owner: Btw, your photos are exquisite! Cheers Henrik ...

Thank you, dear Henrik!

As you know, it is rather tricky to capture the beautiful but highly reflective ceramic dial. My only concern with these proposed tools is that I would scratch the RG screws. I am afraid that they are softer than in stainless steel. Although the material ...

Look what I just found in my treasure box…

… one spare pin/screw in gold and a spare tool for the deployant screw. If you like, drop me your contact info and I‘ll mail it to you 😉 Cheers Henrik ...

I was really happy when I received a small package from you the day before yesterday. Another important reason why I appreciate and love this forum so much: the people behind it! Cheers Thomas ...

Merci beaucoup, mon ami 🙏

I feel that at least I am slowly approaching a 70% „Nico level“. LOLL One day it would be great to have a few of my favorites photographed by you.

I know that you have a weakness for watches with some blue, too. Your wonderful 5130 PT or your Milgauss for example. And that you don’t hesitate to bring coloured gold in your collection (VC). Regarding the lume of the FF I have learned that it is really...

Thank you dear Thomas!

I would be happy about some wristshots of your collection. 😊 Cheers Thomas P.S.: What’s the „blue flingué“?

I will post Thomas, with pleasure!

The blue flingué is the SS version with the guilloché dial. I like to call it La Coquille. All the best, Alex
