Very impressive research you have done.
I had to read it several times, there are so many informations and they form new questions.
Why had the Bronzes civilian hands, except the U. S. Navys?
For me the 3225 is a kind of mariage. You will have noticed, it also has the small hands, silver, not painted, as they are used in the small cases. The dial and acrylic are replaced as well. Surely it was damaged and repaired as parts were avaiable.
The 3163 has a big crown, as my milspec had it, bevor vintage studio service at BP.
