Blancpain Fifty Fathoms AM 97.

These AM are very rare, much rarer than the TR 900. So, each time I see one, I am madly excited.
This one has the correct case, case back, dial. The hands are incorrect, and I have a doubt on the crown.

Going vintage seems to be the trend these days, Nicolas.
However, without a proper knowledge it can turn into a bit of disaster acquiring a ''hybrid". You post demonstrates it well. Even, a piece from known respectable retailer should be looked with serious scrutiny. Thanks for sharing JK
The problem is that some of these references or versions, as you want, are not very well known. I started studying the AM, for example, some 12 years ago. And always looking forward to seeing one I don't know.
And I don't know everything about the AM! One day, I will post something about it. I am still working on the topic. Best, Nicolas
