A truly special event

Earlier this week Blancpain hosted a small event with Gianluca Genoni at Landhaus Stricker on the German island Sylt...

... and I‘d like to share some impressions with you. The venue, Landhaus Stricker, home of Blancpain ambassador and Michelin decorated chef Holger Bodendorf, was decorated accordingly...

The first activity was a ride with a vintage bus...

... getting us to see some beautiful places on Sylt...

... and of course the new Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Ocean Commitment III was accompanying us...

... receiving quite a lot of attention:

The guests also showed some commitment 😉

The first day was concluded with some culinary highlights...

... of which you better did not consume too much because it got serious the next day 😎

It was time for a one hour Apnoe diving exercise with Gianluca Genoni. Gianluca holds multiple Apnoe world records in various Apnoe disciplines and he is a Blancpain ambassador since 2007, also supporting Blancpain Ocean Commitment.

The guest now put on their wetsuits for the training, which focussed on correct breathing preparation, actually three minutes prior to each diving exercise. The diving time started with 30 seconds and was increased in various steps. At the end of one hour the best result achieved by a guest who never did Apnoe diving before was 3 minutes 50 seconds!

Now here are some impressions:

Obviously some timepieces joined the exercise:

Blancpain brought the Basel novelties with them, so there was an opportunity to take a second look and some new photos. Here are some of those:

I hope you enjoyed the report! I personally took some unforgettable impressions with me and I‘d like to express a big THANK YOU to Blancpain Germany!

Let me close with one of my favorite shots...

Cheers
Henrik
