Valuing a unicorn

Hey all,
I have each of my watches insured of course but I’ve struggled with a few rare collectible pieces and how to value them. One is the ultra rare ceramised titanium version of the Bathyscaphe. There were only 50 of these unicorns made at the very beginning of the new release of the Bathyscaphe in 2013 before they switched to the regular titanium version. I have never seen a single one listed secondhand and can’t find any historical info when searching, except some obscure listing at 38k which I doubt is accurate. I don’t have the slightest idea of how to value it. So far I’ve had it insured at a value of $17k. My thinking is that it should fetch a slight premium over the 2nd hand top-tier Bathyscaphe models out there given how rare and collectible it is.

Am I over insuring it or taking a risk by under insuring it? I know quite a few on this subforum know about this model so figured you all might help me assess this.

Here’s a great blog post about the model for anyone not familiar, and of course a pic!
