Only the MilSpec had a firm pin instead of spring bars...

... that system got changed quickly with the OC III and now the Barakuda.

Once you have changed the MilSpec to (curved) spring bars, the change is done in a few seconds.

The sailcloth tang buckle has 16mm, the Tropic has a 18mm buckle and the Nato has a 20mm buckle. That’s a bit unfortunate, but each width works fine with the corresponding strap.

When it comes to strap dimensions, comfort and the aesthetics, the Tropic is probably the most compelling choice.

The new Tropic strap that comes with the Barakuda is a real winner, also on the Anniversary and MilSpec 😉 Cheers Henrik ...

On the anniversary it looks awesome! Hmm...maybe I should consider it!

You can probably change them yourself, you did not get three, right? Cheers

Only two, but I am considering a third 🤒...

... problem is that it needs an 18mm tang buckle, so neither the sailcloth nor Nato buckles will fit. Cheers Henrik

I thought that...

the sailcloth buckle fits with the tropic... The nato one is wider... I guess I was wrong... But changing the straps on the ff is a tad tricky, isn’t it? Cheers

I just picked up a FF 50th Anniversary Series II and I am looking to do the same! Will post pics when done, though I doubt the pics will be as nice as yours. Btw, what tool do you use to remove the bracelet? I bought my FF 50th Anniversary used and it did...

Not my pic. This is from the person who sold it to me. She’s going to make a stop at Blancpain NY first to get checked out at fitted for a new Tropik strap! Just from looking around, it seems like there are a handful of FF 50th Anniversary owners here (or...

Some answers

The bracelet is fitted with a pin, that needs to be carefully punched out. I suggest you leave that to someone who has done it before, because it has to be done gently not to create too much shock to the movement. Once the bracelet is off you can use (sli...

Thank you!

I’ll definitely post pics when done. I saw there’s a Sailcloth strap for the milspec for sale here. Tempting, but I like the look of the Tropik much better.
