these - often terrible - date windows. In this case it works for. It’s in the colour of the dial and I have learned they chose the 4:30 position in order not to disturb the arrangement of the numerals and indices. So it's not made as careless as some of t...

BP. Here also the “tool watches” have a touch of haute horlogerie. PR 120 hours, three series coupled barrels housing high-performance springs, silicon balance spring, the finishing of the bezel and the case and the dial etc etc.

I haven't kept up with the line so not sure if both are brushed or if the black is high polish but BP does some really nice case finishing, makes the brushing on a Rolex look like it was done with a grill scraper. I'm not into pm watches (too clumsy) but ...

Rose gold looks vintage per sé and a rose gold diving watch reminds me of antique diving gear. It gives the watch a more timeless look and technical touch as well, as cooper was used in the 19th century in engineering a lot. ...

BP actually borrowed its sister brand Omega’s lead, and put a polished ceramic dial on that one. It’s stunning in person, especially with the brushed Sedna gold. I’m not in the market for another BP yet, but I’d be more than thrilled to have the rose gold...

In that category, I would probably only consider something from Rolex like a gold submariner. Now that being said, I think those Fifty Fathoms look great in gold, especially the black version! It would be a perfect watch to rock on a yacht in Monaco/Miami... 

with it‘s shape and special colour tone looks less blingy than a full gold Rolex. But dove of them ha have something special which attracts me a lot. For example: Green dial. And I’m definitely not a Daytona fan. Cheers Thomas ...  

If I may share my reasoning, YG is perfect for classic vintage look and patinated. YG is also the more versatile between the two in terms of fashion match. RG is better for avant-garde and ultra-chic. Therefore YG is more suitable for classic warm looking... 

As far as it comes to YG I'm more attracted to RG (I think it suits my skin tone better). And yes, I find somehow the whole design of the FF works excellent with RG (also with the Bathyscaphe!!).

Perhaps the black dial is more versatile (for example with a brown leather strap). But the blue ceramic dial is so ... special and brings the summer feeling on the wrist.

but the case of the „classic“ FF attracts me more than the Bathyscaphe case. At least from the pics I have seen. I have never tried a Bathyscaphe on my wrist so far. I will have to see and feel it in the flesh.

but I PREFER Blancpain (generally, but not always) is RG because their RG is MATTE, and CRAZY beautiful. Shrug. It's silly to take the sport aspect of any watch too seriously as a collector because we know it will never be used as such and likely babied..... 

Yes, I tend to "baby" my watches, a little bit, but not too much. A watch finally is a watch is a tool is a constant companion, and that ideally in ALL situations and circumstances in the most reliable way possible. It has to be worn and USED . And a divi...
