I think the Navy took a batch of original Tornek dial and stripped them and repainted them.
And when they refinish them they also painted the back. The paint on the sterile dials are a cool metallic paint and they seem to have flecks of metal. Brian
Glad you like them. Number 2 use to be on Billy old website that had the Tornek watch data base. At the time when I stared collecting there were only two watches on the data base.

I really do NOT understand Blancpain management...
The brand has so nice, iconic, easy recognizable and simple design with so rich history. Why do not make a fully correct reissuance, instead of a number repeating LEs based on a modern short-lugged all rounded case?? Hoping some day...
Perhaps because Blancpain let the Tornek-Rayville trademark lapse (!)
