How many Bronze Milspec were made? Around 45. Among them how many US NAVY? 4 or 5 are known. One day I will publish my investigation on them, which costed me twelve years of work... The number 3237 has ben auctioned by Phillips, last week, and it was one ...

And it’s arguably perfect

…in terms of aesthetics for me personally. Are you at all aware of the whereabouts of any of the remaining pieces, Nico?

Amazing and wonderful!

I will certainly read your investigation with great interest. These historical military watches fascinate me. Kent

Merci, Lars!

It has character, for sure.

is even more impressive than the watch itself. And that’s quite the watch. Merci!

You are too kind!

A nice one… but

Don’t love bronze cases… And I do not find it consistent for a soldier to wear a bronze watch…. unless you put gaffer tape on it or want to be easily spotted by an enemy ... so up to me it's a watch for those with suicidal tendencies 😬

Thank you for the report

A collectors dream and I probally will never see it live. The AS 1361 is identically to the R 570? Grüße Stephan

Hi Amanico

My FF Milspec I is signed insid as R-570. The place where normally the AS Logo is, it is flexed out and R-570 is engraved/stamped there. In my Blancpain Vintage Studio report the caliber onetime is named as R-570. At the final report it is named a AS 1361...

Wow!

Didn't know Blancpain used bronze for their watches. Thanks for sharing this info, Nicolas.

J'ai compris, oui.

Yes the US NAVY is a very nice watch, I still have mine which has a very nice patina. For your information, my watch has been mass spectrometer tested. The case, bezel and the back ring are made of a bronze alloy (bronze is an alloy of copper and other me...

Surprising Info! Did the BP Us Navi have fixed or springbars? And what were they made of? Antimagnetic too? Congrats for really special watch! Cheers from Old Europe Richard

Springbars.

It is not that simple...

 By: XX-FF : December 14th, 2021-16:33
The caliber AS 1361 is the first one used for the automatic versions. For the military versions with Hacking it is special, the watch plate is that of the AS 1382 caliber "power reserve hand at 12 o'clock" (but without the power reserve mechanism) all the...

Thank you for your input.

What do you know about the R 570? By the way, your watch is extraordinary. A dream for each serious collection. Best regards Stephan

Thanks for the comment on my watch Stephan. I don't know why some calibers are engraved with Blancpain numbering and others not? Probably a problem of customs tax, as for the number of jewels or the adjustment of the movement?
