Desert or Dessert?

The Desert day date is the first bathyscaphe I like.
But what I do not understand, is the whole series name. Is it a Bathyscaphe or is it a Fifty Fathoms?

Blancpain have launched two colorful new Bathyscaphe timepieces, the Day Date Desert Edition and the Chronographe Ceramic with green dial and bezel. Let’s take a closer look at some live impressions: The Bathyscaphe Day Date Desert Edition looks no doubt ...

The desert edition looks very good!

I had the 1970s Bathyscaphe for a while and the desert version is very similar (although still stunning!) I would go for the green chrono. Can't go wrong with either.

I like the Desert Day Date.

Perhaps it’s the somewhat novel dial colour, but I also like a Day Date display. They made a good choice with the black discs here, white would have been a disaster (but not surprising) and given that it’s a feature of the watch a contrasting disc I think...

Same mistake as Omega

BP is making the same mistake as Omega did with the Speedmaster. The success of the first series is being shattered by too many iterations.
