Totally, super high. We just did it as a test. We used to run a lot of test for brands as part of our innovation and store operations practice. Luxury brands are almost all commission based and the associates hop between them based on which brands have the best commissions and are hot at the time.
It's ruthless. We had one client who's customers always complained about how messy the stores were so they took two sets of stores for testing. To one set of stores they added more staff to clean, organize and noticeably improve the overall appearance. The other set of stores took the same budget and used them for discount promotions. ROI was better on the discounts so the stores are still a mess and they do over $15B in retail store sales. π€
