But for me, less is more. I like the simplicity of the dial without telling me how it winds, how many feet underwater it can go, if it’s a certified this or that, etc.
And if it balances the dial then surely non-automatic watches should say HAND WOUND? But we don’t see that…it’s a tradition which dates back to a particular time when being self-wound was new. (Ah, the Tudor “ROTOR”, that’s another one.) Today, there’s no need.

My belief is that manufacturers spend very little time on graphic design elements like text...
...In this case, I think 'Automatique' is placed on the date version for balance.
Somehow i prefer the blue colours here as compared to the official pictures (which are lighter blues).
