The reason I ask is because I was at the JLC boutique not too long ago...
And the manager there was talking about the lack of new skill in the Swiss watch making business. She very directly said that there was ONE person at JLC who used the rose engine. Apparently this person at JLC is in her 60's and has no apprentice.
The boutique manager said that he only dials JLC makes that are hand turned are the blue enamel dials with the sunburst guilloche as such:
