No one has a crystal ball that can tell a well-made watch would become collectible or not and I guess most Tudor will not cause they are mass produced.
For me, If I like a watch and within my affordability, I will buy it regardless of collectability.

if I bring Patek's recent releases into play: very youngish designs. However, for really collectable pieces the classic looking models will always be hot. Your statement is correct for daily wear pieces, in my view.
Somebody has to start making it collectible
If this criterion is not the core and only reason, then buy it. If it is in the center of your decision making then wait a while and see if it is hot piece in the community. You have got still time to observe it.

If I may comment. I totally prefer the BB the steel or bronze and single colour metal. BB GMT and BB Bronze are both very special and will be classic., or if you want something totally different the BB P01 is so proto unique)
