Yes, those early Bentley Continentals were a beautiful car but not strictluy a British one (in my estimation)
also very heavy (5200-5500 lbs) and if I recall correctly road tests (in CAR perhaps) achieved the lowest mpg of any vehicle ever tested - about 5 mpg. Meaning they emptied the 24 gallon tank in around 100 miles.
I have to admire that accomplishment.
