Would consider electric if I could charge it at home ๐

The one downside is that most of them have limited top speeds, range mostly wouldnโt be a killer criterion. They can be great fun to drive.
The next one might be electric, depending on where and how soon I change.
The majority of my driving is commuting to work, so itโs cost neutral.
Where you are no longer right is the speed. This has changed dramatically over the last decades. When I was younger driving in Germany always resulted in someone passing you at way over 250kmh. Nowadays people driving at 200kmh or above are rare and I had not been overtaken a single time over the last two years when driving on pace. And especially the fast cars of the past are being driven very sedately nowadays - donโt remember seeing a single Porsche driving at above 200 km/h.
