Car hood ornaments were so beautiful during the 20s/30s that it is shame to see how ugly some are today. They were basically mini sculptures on wheels! The Bugatti Royale had a hood ornament from the famous Rembrandt Bugatti (who was also the brother of Ettore Bugatti) and Lalique often made hood ornaments for luxury cars. Now, there are so few cars today that pay any attention to the hood ornamentation (There are still a few like the Toyota Century (the emblem is hand carved), Rolls, Jag, and some other that I can not think of)
