What about a soft top change?
Soft top change on MB 500SL-91
I don´t looks that bad.
But it´s hard to see against the windows.
So I start to open it up.
And stops here.
Let the work begin.
I have to protect the painting.
Here we go with the top.
Now it´s history.
And the back.
Factory fresh Sonnenland top.
It will be nice with some new windows.
Some wires will keep it in place..
Then I have to cut a little.
Like this.
Then I have to start with the glue.
And the same with the top.
The glue should drying.
In place.
And some glue at the front.
Now we talking.
Time for the inside roof.
Here we go.
The final work,. It was the first time I change a soft top and I´m satisfied.
Now I have to wait for the sun.

I change the top on my Jeeps every 4 or 5 years as needed, but that is child’s play compared to what you did. I am looking at a early 90’s 600SL, and am glad to see this can be done in my garage. Your car looks gorgeous!

It's not so hard to change the top when it's in two parts. Common sense and a slow-moving will do it. It is logically structured so it's hard to fail.
306 hp was later. The 320hp has more Nm (20), but you dont feel it. This motor is not so "alegre, free" like the 326hp, because they reduced the consume.
Same story with this one, the 500E, same motor with 326hp the first models till 6/92, than one year more with 320hp. This is a dreamcar! Have a look at the first and the third. ...
Correct 326 it is and I love the K-Jet that most people hate
the next generation injection have a lot of problems and the cable harness was a real cable harmness. LOL
No my friend, you dont have a K-Jetronic. In your car is a KE-Jetronic. The R129 never had K-Jetronic.
K-Jetronic is full mecanical, like the Porsches 930 Turbo, the 924 or the 911 3,0 till 82. The 3,2 comes with KE-Jetronic like your car. The Mercedes W 201/190 E has a K-Jetronic. also the 230E and 280E W 123. The K-Jetronic is not bad, but she dont want ...
I know it's a KE-Jet but I was refering to the K-Jet system
this system you can understand in a different way than D-Jet for example. I love things that I can fix instead of hunting for signals all over the place.
