Volvo 1800 Overview
I've been looking at my 50 years worth of Automotive Quarterly books, and saw this nice little article about the Volvo Sport, Style and Speed model, the 1800. Favored by a particular watch collector, I felt this article had to be shared with everyone here.
BTW - the cover of this volume has a very interesting piece of artwork... I must say that I never imagined such a scene, not even in my wildest car dreams (of which there have been many).

Volvo P1800
The car Nicolas love a lot. The last picture, the 1800 Estate, looks in some kind of way like a Reliant Scimitar.
I think the coupe certainly photographs much better than the estate, but in real life the estate seems so small that it adds to its appeal.
But you're probably right. If I were to be offered a coupe and estate, identical in every other way, I'm sure I'd end up choosing the coupe...but only after much deliberation. LOL
The photo could have been cropped to this
and still convey the same message (perhaps better) ...

I find the early ones, the P 1800 Jensen to be the most desirable, the one ot have the purest lines. The E certainly is the most powerful and funny to drive, though. Here is mine: P 1800 E from March 1970: ...

that the 1800 estate has a nickname in German language, it is called "Schneewittchensarg" meanig Snow White's coffin because of the large glass door. I prefer the estate over the coupe but I love the british racing green colour of Amanicos coupe. Pure ele...
