A very late reply here... but I can't resist...

The new BM... uh.. I mean MKV Supra is not likely to surpass the MKIV. The MKIV was... IS... an icon for good reasons, least of which is "the movie".
Its the DRIVE TRAIN. The 2JZ-GTE did not have a low profile (a straight up straight 6) was heavy (cast iron block) but was massively strong and
bulletproof. Connected to it was a superb Getrag 6sp followed by a Toyota rear end, both of which were good for 1,000 hp right out of the factory.
The 2JZ-GTE was also, easily able to be pumped up to that level (or more, much more) and remain reliable. The styling and aerodynamics were also
excellent, even with the gaping but functional "mouth" flanked by its crazy insectoid headlights. The carpet fibers were hollow, the rear wing filled with
helium, the glass whas thin, the hood and targa top made from aluminum. The new Supra is smaller but barely lighter and as nice as BMW straight 6s are
they are not a 2JZ-GTE. I know these things because I owned a very nice one. Just sold it for an assortment of reasons. Hoping I don't regret that too much...
we'll see.

A curiosity with its 3 Liters Turbo Charged engine coming from... The BMW Z 4 delivering 335 HP. 0 to 100 Km:H in 4, 1 seconds, and an interesting body. Credit pictures: Hearstapps. Lovely! And for once, the front grill is not too big. Best, Nicolas ...

Superb concept, and gives the impression the designer(s) had a bit of a thing for the TVR Tuscan and Sagaris. Now if only Toyota made TVRs….

ouch the gorgeous sexy TVR [nt]

A GT 86 might be still the better buy

to have fun. To show of this one. Up to date design and BMW interior will work well.

Apparently it has got a lower gravity and some more

things different to the GT86. However, the rather slim tyres of the GT86 make it to a drift maschine. This Supra will be a contetstant for acceleration at the lights ............ ............ (tyre marks 😉)

:)))) I see! [nt]

Even though I can get it at cost since a childhood friend owns a Toyota dealership. It’s an easy pass, so much anticipation just to be let down.
