Let's start with the less famous and the older one, the Delahaye 235, which celebrates its... 70th anniversary:

In the sports category, it is needless to introduce the Alpine A110, famous, iconic, charming, sensuous. It celebrates its 60th anniversary, this year.
And let's end with one of the most popular french car, for low budgets, or for those who didn't really care about cars, but which won a certain affection trough the years, the Renault R5, which was introduced in 1972

Absolutely gorgeously sublime The Alpine is so cool but since I can't enjoy sports driving for the reasons that you know, this leaves me with no alternative here As for the R5 surely fun just like having a 2CV or a 4L but obviously it is not a comparable ...

Yea me too. I personally fell sport/performance should stop at hybrid. Perhaps GT Touring is ok with full electric.
Well, we slightly took this direction for some decades, now. With cars from the 40's to the 70's, we had a true sense of traveling. Now, they are more instruments to move from A point to B point. Not the same thing at all!
Luckily, there are still some exceptions, such as Porsche, Ferrari, Alpine, Aston... But for how long???
